NHV is the global launching customer and the first operator to receive the state-of-the-art Airbus Helicopters H175 model.
Ostend, December 12th, 2014. NHV, a fast growing international helicopter operator, announces that the first two EC175s are delivered during a double-handover ceremony. In 2012, NHV has ordered 16 Airbus Helicopters EC175s. This investment fits in the strategy of owning and operating a young and modern fleet with the highest safety standards. NHV will begin EC175 service this month from the Dutch North Sea base of Den Helder. NHV is proud to be the global launching customer for this new model. This is an important milestone in the history of both Airbus Helicopters and NHV. Over a period of four years, all 16 new helicopters will be delivered. In 2015, six EC175s will be delivered and added to the NHV fleet. The new helicopter type will be used in the Oil and Gas segment, as well as for Search and Rescue missions. In the Oil and Gas configuration, the helicopter has very high comfort levels (low vibrations, highest cabin volume per seat, low internal sound level, etc.) as well as the highest safety standard (large egress windows, emergency floatation up to sea state 6, high waterline for stability, etc.). The EC175 is also very suitable for Search and Rescue missions, since it can handle the most demanding operational circumstances and weather conditions. This helicopter is the most advanced and best equipped Search and Rescue medium twin in the world. It sets new standards and will be the SAR benchmark for decades.
