Quality and Safety

4007

Safety is NHV's primary concern in every operation, alongside our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

At NHV we strive to deliver high-quality services to our customers. While delivering our services, it is our policy to take all necessary precautions to prevent accidents and incidents, to eliminate injury or ill-health to our people and our partners and to avoid harm to the environment.

We believe that all injuries are preventable; we strive for safety perfection which means we are committed to attaining zero incidents. We work to manage all our business processes, from back office to helicopter operations, to make this happen.

To sustain a safety culture, we make sure that every employee is aware of its importance from day one and throughout their entire career at NHV. Employees get regular safety training and are assessed on their safety behaviour during their periodical evaluations. Aside from their safety behaviour we also strongly encourage employees to report every safety matter they come across, as small as it may be. Our simple and anonymous reporting system results in reliable information from our employees’ first-hand experience which is used to optimise our safety measures accordingly.

SAFETY BY TRAINING

The mandatory employee safety training programme includes general safe work practices as well as specific instructions on the control of hazards unique to each employee's job assignment. This can involve classroom instructions to a group of employees, computer-based training, or on-the-job training, in which a single or small number of employees receive personalised instructions from their supervisor.

FLEET

The importance of safety is also reflected in our strategy of maintaining a young fleet of helicopters with the latest safety technologies. With an average offshore aircraft age of 9 years, NHV’s fleet is very young compared to the industry average.
